Photo+Quote | February Blog Hop
LaSal Mountains, Late Summer 2010
Lake Oowah always takes my breath away. It’s pretty far up the mountain, and yet there are still peaks rising up behind it. Every summer, when we finally manage to get up there, out of the heat, we ask each other why we don’t go every weekend.
I love stepping back when we are all out together, and watching my men, big and small, interact. What made me catch my breath in this shot wasn’t the peaks or light off the water but the sight of my boys each wandering on the path and Brian pointing the way. I love getting to live here, and I love getting to witness their journey.
Photo+Quote is a monthly series that I’m using to dig deeper into my own archives. On the 15th of every month we are challenged to pair a chosen quote with a photograph. You can see how the other photographers in the series interpreted this month’s quote by following the blog hop to Jennifer Krafchik of Maryland.
